  • Terry O’Neil (CBS Sports producer, 1981-86; NBC Sports executive producer, 1989-93)

“Every time I needed a musical theme for anything, I would always call John. For the first Super Bowl I produced at CBS in 1982, Super Bowl XVI, John did the theme. We cut together highlights of all 15 Super Bowls that preceded it with Tesh music leading up to the kickoff. We broadcast the Pan American Games in 1983 for the first time. I called John and said, ‘We need a theme. A couple of days later, a piano demo would appear on my desk.”

  • Michael Feig: Trainer, Equinox Gyms

“Fitness is a journey and that’s exactly what John Tesh’s Sports album takes me on. Whether it’s enduring a long run or chasing that last rep in the gym, listening to these tracks brings that drive and motivation to get it done.”

Many of the driving rock and acoustic orchestrations that NBC uses convey the power and majesty of the Olympic Games. They were written and recorded by one of the most widely heard composers in the music industry today, John Tesh!
